Founder, Publisher, Chief Executive Officer
Anna Saulwick
Anna is a product leader and entrepreneur, with a career spent working on projects and technologies to bolster democratic participation and improve public institutions. Prior to Gazette she was head of product innovation at Change.org, led a global project to incorporate volunteerism into UNICEF’s work, and built the digital and organisational infrastructure for a pan-European campaign for democratic reform in the EU. She wants to talk to you about tech, media, misinformation, innovation, and how to build excellent, intellectually generous, learning teams.

Editorial Director
Brad Esposito
With over a decade of experience in digital media, Brad has worked at some of the most exciting media and tech brands of the 2010s. Previously, Brad was a founding member of BuzzFeed Australia, as well as Director of Content at health tech company Eucalyptus. His most recent role before joining Gazette was heading up news and culture brand VICE in Australia and New Zealand. Brad has a deep understanding of internet culture and media and is fascinated with building sustainable, scalable, and inspiring media brands. He is a strong believer in developing young talent, as well as growing a better media ecosystem in Australia for decades to come.

Senior Video Lead
Nick Wray
Nick specialises in vertical video and equipping reporters with the skills to reach giant audiences on social media. He’s an award-winning producer with experience at VICE, BuzzFeed, MTV, Network 10, and Junkee. As someone who grew up in regional NSW, Nick is passionate about local news, because he has seen first-hand the impact to a community when they lack a local voice in media.

Peter Holmes
After completing the HSC, Peter Holmes started as a copy boy at John Fairfax & Sons on Broadway in Sydney in 1987. He spent 16 years with the company's mastheads The Sydney Morning Herald and The Sun-Herald and then 13 years at News Limited's The Sunday Telegraph.
In that time he was a staff reporter, section editor, columnist and feature writer, covering general news, TV, travel, music, crime, politics, health, education, sport, business and employment.
He spent four years at BuzzFeed News (2016-2020) as the copy editor, and then ran his own news website in Orange, NSW.

Impact Editor
Kitty Walker
Kitty brings a background in regional leadership, media relations, energy and climate policy to Gazette as Impact Editor. She has a keen interest in translating complex national policies to uncover deeply human, local narratives. Prior to joining the Gazette team, Kitty worked closely with communities at the heart of Australia's energy shift in senior communications roles at RE-Alliance and Farmers for Climate Action. Growing up in rural Tasmania and now residing with her young family in regional Victoria, Kitty is acutely aware of the vital role that local media can play in connecting communities.
